Jim Cherry is a licensed FFL dealer with over three decades of experience buying, selling, and collecting firearms. He has worked with individual collectors, estates, and families throughout his career.
Over the years, he was approached again and again by families who had inherited firearms and didn’t know what to do. They were grieving. They were overwhelmed. And they were trying to do the right thing, legally and respectfully, with items they often knew nothing about.
He helped when he could. And what he found, every time, was that these families didn’t need a gun shop. They needed a guide. Someone who would take the time to explain what they had, what their options were, and what the law required: without pressure, without judgment, and without making the moment harder than it already was.
